At the 2011 KU Digital Humanities
Forum, I presented a new pedagogical model and termed it as
‘digi-feminist’ pedagogical practice. Digi-feminist pedagogical practice
is a style of pedagogy that privileges the feminist teaching practices
introduced by bell hooks in her book Teaching to Transgress and
digital tools that aid in instruction. This teaching practice values
democracy and aligns student-centered pedagogy with feminist instructional
theory and digital technology.
